DC Music Video
Last week adventurous rock band Wanted Man released their newest single “YR NOT HERE”, a lick- and hook-heavy jam featuring Jay Justin Hutchinson of Dedwax on guitar. Director Carter Louthian gets real fuzzy with lighting effects in this psychedelic music video.

Monday December 18th
“Brad Linde’s Bleak Midwinter ensemble: sad songs and waltzes meet Christmas carols and the avant-garde in this seasonal sonic exploration. Zoë Jorgenson presents a project of new original music with ambient soundscapes and roots in post-rock and jazz.” Another Monday night of thoughtful music you’ll only find at Rhizome.
Tuesday December 19th
On Tuesday evening Rhizome hosts the launch event for L'HOMME APPROXIMATIF, the third album by the experimental collaboration between JS Adams of BLK w/BEAR, Christopher Mathews-Larsen of Grave Nature, and Chris Videll of Tag Cloud called That Cloud. The new label Jukebox Heart will sell cassettes of the release while K Craig premieres a music video and the musicians perform live.
Thursday December 21st
Indie rock band Nayan (fka The NRIs) begin the rollout of their long awaited 2024 album Rock N Roll Ruined My Life with its debut single “Destiny” and a show Thursday night at the Pie Shop along with punk vets Bed Maker and garage rock band Public Figures.
Friday December 22nd
GoGo Symphony, fusing DC’s homegrown style and beat with a majestic symphony orchestra, presents “Twas The Night!” Friday night at Union Stage.
Saturday December 23rd
DC music photographer Roxplosion keeps the lights on and the tunes rolling for the winter solstice, the longest night of this year, Saturday night at the Pie Shop. The free show features Buko Buko (“happy punk with a little sweet spice”), Heinous Crime (“have fun and scream”), Charlottesville’s Shagwüf (“ear candy blues punk trio”), and Kinda Evil (“dark soul rock and roll”).
